Located in Terreiro do Paço, Pátio da Galé is an unrivalled venue in Lisbon. It is here that the Royal Palace and the India House were located when the earthquake of 1755 struck. A renovation undertaken in 2010 has maintained the architectural detailing and the importance of the square and the building in the history of the city.
