Nestled in the unspoiled beauty of Baie Lazare, Kempinski Seychelles Resort is committed to preserving the natural beauty and participates in various conservation efforts. Even interiors incorporate wood, stone and local artwork.
With over seven years of EarthCheck certification, the resort remains deeply committed to sustainability. In 2025, Kempinski Seychelles Resort retained the Gold status, the highest level of certification, after a comprehensive assessment of energy and water consumption, waste management, carbon footprint and community involvement, excelling in Conservation, Water, and Solar Energy initiatives.
Recognized as Seychelles’ Leading Green Resort for both 2024 and 2025 by the World Travel Awards, the hotel also became the first organization globally to earn six ISO certifications, including Social Responsibility ISO 26000:2010, Energy Management System (EnMS) ISO 50001:2018 and Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001:2015.
In 2025, we unveiled the Seychelles’ largest hydroponic farm, featuring 8,000 cultivation pods that support 23 varieties of vegetables and herbs. The system is engineered to reduce water usage by up to 90% while eliminating chemical runoff – an important step forward in our journey toward regenerative operations.
In October, we also celebrated the opening of Les Petits Lazariens, our new eco- adventure garden. Thoughtfully integrated into the lush tropical landscape without cutting or relocating a single tree, the playground uses only plastic-free and toxin- free materials. Recycled components and natural elements ensure both safety and long-lasting durability, perfectly capturing our vision of sustainable luxury.
Besides, we have planted three Coco de Mer seeds at our resort that will grow into magnificent trees in 20-25 years, adding to the rich natural heritage of the Seychelles. The Coco de Mer is the largest and the heaviest seed in the world, weighing up to 25 kg.
