Nasser Al Nowais, chairman of the board of directors at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, was the worthy winner of the Middle East’s Leading Travel Personality title at the World Travel Awards Middle East Gala Ceremony 2018.

Having studied economics at New York University and founded the Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company, he now leads one of the most dynamic hospitality companies in the region.

In addition to his work in hospitality, Al Nowais has held prestigious roles in banking, insurance, aviation and investment, and has previously worked as an under-secretary at the ministry of finance and industry in the United Arab Emirates’ government.

Having founded the first Arab hotel chain in the Middle East, his work has directly contributed to the revival of the tourism industry in Abu Dhabi.

Through the company Al Nowais has contributed to many of the social activities and charity initiatives in the Arab world, such as his ongoing contributions to the Emirates Foundation.

Today, the chain of hotel he leads has become the fastest growing in the Middle East, thanks to its outstanding administrative structures which have allowed it to gain a reputation for excellence.
