Union Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja has asked the hotel industry here to ensure strict security arrangements for the safety of the tourists.
The minister was here yesterday at the unveiling of an international trophy awarded consecutively for the third time to Hotel Raj Palace.
Expressing concerns about garbage littered all over the touristic spots in the country, Selja called upon people and civic bodies to ensure cleanliness which would maintain sustainability of the tourist spots.
Hotel Raj Palace was awarded the World's Leading Luxury Heritage Hotel award for the third consecutive time by World Travel Awards.
