The 14th World Travel Awards, are voted on by travel agents worldwide, and are considered like the Oscars of the travel trade. Among the many World Travel Award 2007 Nominees for Asia several local places in the Andaman region are included:
Top Asia's Leading Destination & Asia's Leading Dive Destination includes Phuket; Top Asia's Leading Boutique Hotel includes again The Sarojin Khao Lak, after it won last year; Asia's Leading Diving Resort includes Amanpuri in Phuket; Asia's Leading Family Resort includes JW Marriott Phuket; Asia's Leading Resort includes both Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club and Rayavadee in Krabi; Asia's Leading Spa Resort includes Amanpuri and Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort; and Asia's Leading Watersports Resort includes Amanpuri, Phuket.
