Another Successful Year for the Asia Luxury Travel Market

The second Asia Luxury Travel market (ALTM) was awarded the prestigious Five Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences following the event’s successful run last June in Shanghai. The award recognizes the event’s commitment to excellence in luxury and service as well as its determination to drive Asia’s luxury travel industry forward and serve as an intermediary between global sellers and regional buyers, says ALTM event director, Jay Martens. ALTM also won as Asia’s Leading Travel Exhibition at the inaugural Asia Pacific event of the World Travel Awards held also in Shanghai.

Over 1,100 of the top sellers in the world and top buyers from Asia pacific were received at the invitation-only event, double the size of last year’s attendees at the inaugural edition. More than 17,000 appointments were held over the three-day event. Prior to the event, a high-profile conference was held at the Shanghai Center where key figures in the industry examined current and future luxury travel trends, with a special focus on China.

The ALTM event is undoubtedly the place to be as it offers the ideal venue and resources that bring together the top sellers and buyers in the luxury travel sector under one roof.
