World Travel Awards honour Ukinbound members

Members of the trade association UKinbound were honoured at the World Travel Awards at a glittering ceremony on the beautiful Caribbean islands of the Turks and Caicos earlier this week and once again London was voted the world’s leading destination.

The winners of the World Travel Awards were announced for 2007 from votes cast by 167,000 tourism professionals and agents. Congratulations from UKinbound go to the following members and all others who were recognised and nominated by the prestigious awards.

Europcar was voted the world’s leading car rental company. Marriott Hotels Resorts and Suites won the worlds leading hotel brand award. Eurostar was honoured as the world’s leading rail service. VisitBritain’s Enjoy England website was named Europe’s leading tourist information website. The Hilton London Park Lane was voted England’s leading business hotel. The Berkeley Suite at the Ritz was named England’s leading suite.

Stephen Dowd, chief executive of UKinbound said: “We are incredibly proud that our members have been honoured with awards widely regarded as the most prestigious in the industry. That the awards are decided through votes cast by such a large number of industry professionals is testament to the fact that these organisations are a pleasure to do business with, as well offering customers excellent products and services.”

A full list of the awards winners is available on the World Travel Awards website Worldtravelawards.com.
