Monchique-based Longevity Wellness Resort has been nominated for the category of Best Medical and Wellness Spa in the World, for the World Travel Awards.
The resort will be representing the region at the award ceremony that is to be held in Qatar on 11 January, along with the five star Albufeira-based Vila Joya resort, which will be defending it’s title of the World’s Best Boutique Resort.
Following the nomination, Longevity group’s Chief Executive Officer, Nazir Sacoor said: “Having existed for just over a year, this level of recognition (to be among the best in the world!) shows recognition of our concept, of our Monchique product and of the long journey to implement an innovative spa model in a resort environment…”
The World Travel Awards were launched in 1993 with the aim of recognising the tourism and travel industry on a global level.
