Destination

With a newly elected president and the 50th year of independence celebrations taking place, it is an exciting time to be a Kenyan. For visitors, that pervading spirit in combination with the wealth of new travel opportunities make it one of the best times to ever visit this fascinating nation.

One of the most outstanding attributes that sets Kenya apart from other tourist destinations is the number of places which you can visit to enjoy unique and diverse attractions, which vary from the traditional safari and beach destinations to MICE offerings, sports, cultural and medical tourism.

The capital Nairobi occupies a unique position in the global tourism arena because it is the only capital centre with a national park. Occupying a total of 113 square kilometres, the landscape of the Nairobi is characterised by plains, cliffs and forest. The park is home to large herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe and many other animals.

Recent large-scale international investment in the tourism sector will make travelling in Kenya even easier. The expansion of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is underway. Airstrips in the Masai Mara and other national parks and reserves have already been improved recently.

Please check that your country does not require a yellow fever vaccination for travel to & from Kenya.
