Ho Chi Minh City prepares to host World Travel Awards 2023

4 September 2023 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The pulsating Vietnamese metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City is making final preparations as it steps up to host the World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2023 on 6 September.

The leading travel and tourism figureheads from across Asia and Oceania will attend the red-carpet reception at the city’s Gem Center to find out which organisations have been voted the industry’s best of the best.

The evening will mark the second leg of WTA’s landmark 30th anniversary celebrations of rewarding and acknowledging travel excellence. Categories cover the entire spectrum of the industry, ranging from hotels and resorts to airlines and tour operators.

Graham Cooke, Founder, World Travel Awards, says: “We are honoured that the incredible metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City will host our Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony 2023. I look forward to joining the most senior travel industry figureheads from across Asia and Oceania for what promises to be a fabulous event, acknowledging the organisations setting the benchmark for travel and tourism excellence.”

A metropolis of boundless energy, Ho Chi Minh City draws together old and new Vietnam, representing the city’s past as well as its future. Over the last few years, Saigon, as it was formerly called, has been reinventing itself at electrifying speed, on the back of Vietnam’s rapid economic growth.

As part of its 30th anniversary Grand Tour 2023, WTA is hosting ceremonies in Saint Lucia, Batumi (Georgia) and Dubai (UAE).
