The winners of the Caribbean and Americas section of the World Travel Awards will be revealed at a ceremony in Montego Bay on Wednesday, 19 October.

The awards are voted for by travel agents worldwide in a number of categories including leading cruise destination, leading resort, all inclusive and more.

This year, The Reef is nominated in the category of Caribbean’s Leading Hotel and Residence and the Ritz-Carlton Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is nominated for Leading Suite.

Each island has its own sub-categories and Cayman’s entrants this year are as follows:

Leading Boutique Hotel: Little Cayman Beach Resort; Pirates Point Resort; Southern Cross Club.

Leading Resort: Britannia Villas Resort; Caribbean Club; Grand Cayman Beach Suites; The Meridian; The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; Westin Casuarina Resort and Spa.

Leading Spa Resort: Grand Cayman Beach Suites; The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; Westin Casuarina Resort and Spa.
