EgyptAir scooped the award for the best African business-class carrier for 2011 as part of the World Travel Awards.
Captain Ayman Nasr, EgyptAir airline's chairman and CEO received the award during a special event with more than 1000 people present at Sharm El- Sheikh.
Nasr said; “This prestigious award is an enthronement to the efforts exerted by all EgyptAir employees. It also comes as an assurance on the company’s rank as a competitive world airline and members of Star Alliance.”
The holding group chairman Hussein Massoud, said: “This award has high credibility as it depends on the direct voting of customers around the globe according to their personal experiences while flying with the different airlines.”
The World Travel Awards was held for the first time in Sharm El- Sheikh - with the attendance of Khaled Foda, governor of Southern Sinai and Ezzat Saad, Governor of Luxor.
