Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel has been awarded the Cristal Certificate of Achievement by Check Safety First, independent hotel auditors. The accolade has been awarded in recognition of the good standards of hygiene which have been implemented at Al Faisaliah Hotel; Riyadh's leading hotel is only one of five in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive the honour.

Check Safety First was set up to provide business and leisure travellers around the world with as much information as possible to make holidays and business trips pleasant, convenient and healthy. Auditors visit hotels to perform a 250-point check and only when the hotel reaches a consistent level of risk management are they included in the portfolio of recommended hotels.

"Having joined the Check Safety First system in December 2007, we are honoured to be one of the few hotels in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to have achieved the standards set by the auditors," said Peter Finamore, Managing Director of Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel.

"Visitors to the Kingdom have a lot of choice in where they wish to stay, and this award is testament to the hard work our teams puts in to provide flawless, personalised service in order to exceed expectations."

The award is based on the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system (HACCP), part of the ISO 2200. With 14 branches spread across the world and 3,000 hotel members, 69 of which are based in Saudi Arabia, Check Safety First is a trusted source of information for travellers.

The Check Safety First recognition has been received a month after the hotel won the Leader in Hospitality at the Kingdom Excellence Awards, an esteemed award series that rewards global excellence in industry sectors such as real estate, hospitality, education, healthcare, infrastructure and transportation.

This year, Al Faisaliah Hotel has also won the award of "Excellence in Customer Service" at the 'Kingdom Hotel Expansion Awards' by NASEBA; "Saudi Arabia's Leading Business Hotel" from World Travel Awards Limited, United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia's "Best Hotel" at the 2009 Arabian Property Awards.

A landmark at the heart of the city's Olaya district, Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, owned by the Al Khozama Management Company, has been critically-acclaimed for the last ten years. More awards are forecast for the hotel, as Al Faisaliah's multi-million-dollar expansion nears its scheduled opening in 2010.

The expansion brings a new wing to Al Faisaliah, featuring 106 ultra luxury rooms and suites, a brand new Mediterranean dining concept, and introducing the first ladies-only Sense, Female Health and Wellness Centre, in an international chain hotel in Riyadh.

Sense, Female Health and Wellness Centre, will be an oasis of comfort and relaxation for women, with 13 treatment rooms and a comprehensive menu of rejuvenating treatments and services. The multi-story spa will also feature a hammam, hair salon, manicure and pedicure services, indoor swimming pool, tennis court and fitness centre facilities.
