Portugal has won in a number of World Travel Award categories announced last week at the Marriott’s Praia De’l Rey Beach resort in Óbidos which won the title of Europe’s leading golf and leisure resort.

The title of Europe’s leading boutique resort was awarded to Vila Joia in Albufeira. The Portuguese won in three categories and was elected Europe’s best destination, best city break destination and also best cruise destination.
