Rosewood Hotels & Resorts was named the world's leading luxury hotel brand Monday when the World Travel Awards were handed out in London.

Oneworld, the global airline alliance that includes American Airlines, was named as the "world's leading airline alliance" this week in the World Travel Awards in London.

In September, American Airlines had been named North America's leading airline, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was picked as North America's leading airport and The Mansion on Turtle Creek, a Rosewood property, was named North America's leading hotel. However, they didn't win in the "world" category.

Among carriers serving D/FW Airport, Mexicana previously had been named Mexico's and Central America's leading airline. Mexicana joined Oneworld as a full member on Tuesday.
