SANDALS International has snatched the highly acclaimed British Travel Awards "Best All-Inclusive" title at the World Travel Market held recently in London, just one month after the resort chain swept the travel industry's most coveted awards at the World Travel Awards.
Sandals Resorts outperformed local and global competitors including SuperClubs, RIU, Round Hill and Couples to claim the British award which is made on the basis of votes from within the travel industry.
For the Best All-Inclusive award, thousands of travel agents from all over the United Kingdom voted to recognise service excellence in hotels worldwide and Sandals won with a margin of 22.5 per cent.
Additionally, the Gordon "Butch" Stewart-led hotel group received three awards from highly ranked tour operators: British Airways Holidays - Best Independent Hotel Group Award; Virgin Holidays - Gold Award 2006 - Partnership Award for Sustainable Tourism and Virgin Holidays - Gold Award - Best Caribbean Hotel Group.
The World Travel Market, Britain's biggest travel trade show and which is staged annually in London, is in its 26th year. It provides a unique opportunity for the global travel trade industry to meet, network, negotiate, conduct business and stay abreast of the latest developments in the travel industry.
