Voice of Emirates: World Travel Awards 2026 Abu Dhabi leads the Middle East

Abu Dhabi shined at the 2026 World Travel Awards for the Middle East. To achieve leadership with its tourist destinations in various categories of tourism, entertainment, culture, business and aviation.

The emirate won the Middle East’s Leading Business Tourism Destination Award, and Yas Island won the 2026 Middle East’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination Award. Climate Abu Dhabi on Yas Island won the leadership award in an adventure tourist destination. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi won the award for the leading entertainment city in the Middle East, and Yas Waterworld won the award for the leading water park in the Middle East. Yas Marina won the award for the leading luxury yacht marina in the Middle East.

A leading beach destination

Saadiyat Island won the award for the leading beach destination in the region, while the Zayed National Museum won the award for the leading new tourist destination in the Middle East. Qasr Al Watan won the award for the leading cultural tourism destination in the region.

Etihad Airways has won several awards, including: Leading Airline in Passenger Experiences 2026 in the Region. The leading economy class airline and the leading in-flight entertainment airline. The leading airline in cabin crew, and the leading airline in business class passenger lounges through the victory of Etihad Airways’ Premium Passenger Lounge at Zayed International Airport.

As for Emirates Airlines, it won the award for the leading airline in the first class, and the leading airline in the brand. The leading airline in first class passenger lounges through the Emirates First Class Passenger Lounge at Dubai International Airport.

As for the Emirate of Ajman, it won the award for the leading emerging tourism destination in the Middle East.

Many hotels and hotel resorts in the country have won multiple awards from the 2026 World Travel Awards for the Middle East.
