Karryon: Revealed: All 308 of the World Travel Awards 2025 Grand Final winners

The winners of the 32nd World Travel Awards have been rewarded and recognised on the global stage at a glamorous gala event with our homegrown heroes and regional superstars among the 308 awardees at the World Travel Awards 2025 Grand Final held in Bahrain on 6 December 2025.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence in travel, tourism and hospitality worldwide. Its annual Grand Tour includes regional ceremonies, culminating in a Grand Final. 

World Travel Awards 2025 Grand Final category winners span all aspects of travel, from air, cruise, car hire and touring to hotels, destinations, attractions and much more.

For local representation, Flight Centre was named the World’s Leading Leisure Travel Agency of the Year, Aurora Expeditions as World’s Leading Polar Expedition Operator, and Intrepid Travel as World’s Leading Specialist Travel Agency.

Pretigious awards include the World’s Leading Destination and Leading Airline through to smaller and niche categories, such as the World’s Leading Cable Car Ride and Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge.

There is also recognition for brands and products across multiple sustainability, green and responsible tourism categories.

Among the major destination winners were the Maldives for World’s Leading Destination (also the World’s Leading Green Destination), Jamaica for World’s Leading Cruise Destination (also World’s Leading Family Travel Destination), Portugal’s Algarve for World’s Leading Beach Destination, Portugal’s Madeira Islands for World’s Leading Island Destination, Manama, Bahrain for World’s Leading Business Travel Destination and Manila for World’s Leading City Destination.

For accommodation, Dubai’s Jumeirah Al Naseem picked up the gong for World’s Leading Hotel again, Sardinia’s Forte Village for World’s Leading Resort, Germany’s Hilton Frankfurt Airport for World’s Leading Airport Hotel, Charthouse Bahrain for World’s Leading Boutique Hotel, Holiday Inn for World’s Leading Budget Hotel Brand, Chile’s The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago for World’s Leading Business Hotel and Marriott Marquis Dubai Creek for World’s Leading New Hotel.

In aviation, Gulf carriers continued to soar above the rest with Qatar Airways picking up two gongs again (World’s Leading Airline and World’s Leading Airline – Business Class), Etihad Airways received two awards (World’s Leading Airline – Economy Class and World’s Leading Airline – Customer Experience), and Emirates nabbed three awards (World’s Leading Airline – First Class, World’s Leading Airline Brand and World’s Leading Airline Inflight Entertainment.

AirAsia received two honours, winning World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline and Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew, while AirAsia X took out the Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline gong.

In addition, the award for the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction went to Machu Picchu again, and PROMPERÚ won World’s Leading Tourist Board 2024.

Peru was a big winner at the World Travel Awards 2025 Grand Finals.
