29 January 2025 - Travel Mole

World Travel Awards (WTA) has picked Cancún, Mexico as host for its Latin America Ceremony 2025.

The vacation city will welcome travel and tourism leaders for the red-carpet on 27 September.

The announcement was recently made at a VIP signing in Madrid, organised by Secretaría Municipal de Turismo Cancún, on the eve of the FITUR International Tourism Trade Fair.

Graham Cooke, Founder, World Travel Awards, says: “After receiving applications from a strong field of prospective destinations, World Travel Awards selected Cancún as the Official Host Destination.”

“I look forward to welcoming travel industry leaders from across Latin America to experience the many delights of Cancún.”

WTA was established in 1993 to reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.

Each year, WTA hosts a series of regional gala ceremonies staged to recognize individual and collective success in the industry within each key geographical region.
