Forbes: The 10 Best Luxury Beach Resorts In The Caribbean, According To The 2023 World Travel Awards

Once a year, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence across all hospitality industry sectors. This year's Best of the Caribbean and Americas winners will be announced in August from the Sandals Grande St. Lucian in Saint Lucia.

This year's nominees encapsulate some of the most stunning properties in the Caribbean; Aman properties lead the pack with the most nominations. Here are the Best Luxury Beach Resorts in the Caribbean for 2023.

Amanera casita in Dominican Republic

With a jungle backdrop fronted by the Atlantic Ocean, Amanera is positioned on a stunning clifftop along the Dominican Republic’s pristine north coast beaches and above the famed golden sands of Playa Grande. Best suites here are along the front row of a 60-foot cliff overlooking the crashing waves, with 25 casitas, including the sought-after Bay View Pool Casita or the Amanera Casita. There is also a spectacular Aman spa, a cigar room, and the property is adjacent to the fairways of the lauded Playa Grande Golf & Ocean Club.

Four bedroom Tranquility Villa

Located on the secluded shores of an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara's decadent tropical pavilions and villas overlook half a mile of white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of Providenciales' North West Point Marine National Park. There is an enormous infinity pool of volcanic rock, 38 pavilions, two suites, and 16 villas. The Amanyara pavilions, surrounded by reflecting pools with two terraces, and the Oceanfront Pavilions above the beach are among the best.

Superior beachfront suite

This Balinese-inspired paradise located in Curacao offers up 15 rooms and villas, some of which have their infinity pool and others include a small private beach; there is a restaurant, bar, and hot tub inside a cave; while a giant Buddha stands guard at the resort’s man-made private islet 400 feet offshore.

Beachfront residence at Como Parrot Cay

Located southeast of Miami, Parrot Cay is one of the smaller cays in the Turks and Caicos. Among the 67 rooms and six private estates, you can rent one of the celebrity-owned Parrot Cay Estates, complete with butler, or choose from the six one-bedroom Beach Houses with their own plunge pools. The resort's infinity pool and award-winning spa make this the perfect honeymoon destination.

Four bedroom Mahogany Hill Estate at Four Seasons Nevis

This paradise retreat is built along Pinney's Beach on the site of a former sugar and coconut plantation. With 189 rooms and suites and more than 50 luxury villas, the resort also offers three infinity-edge pools, six restaurants, and bars. Extensive activities include a spa and an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Villa at Jumby Bay Island

Located a short boat ride from Antiqua, this private island property offers 29 resort suites, 14 luxury villas, and 22 private residences. The private pool suites are among the most sought-after. The resort also offers three pools, an award-winning spa, three restaurants, and four bars.

Mandarin Oriental, Canouan,

This all-suite resort overlooks a white sandy bay and is backed by a forested hillside. Fly into Barbados for an easy propeller flight to Canouan. Think butlers, top-notch service, and an 18-hole Jim Fazion golf course. There is also a large infinity pool, three tennis courts, a Kids' Club, and a spa. There are 26 suites, but it is the seven stunning villas that are the real jaw-dropper, all located on the hillside and reached via a funicular railway.

Rosewood Baha Mar, Bahamas

Located within the Baha Mar development, this 12-story luxury resort fronts 3,000 feet of white sand along Cable Beach. There are 226 rooms, suites, and beachfront villas, all featuring British colonial-inspired architecture. For activities, there is a full-service Sense spa and a Jack Nicklaus signature course. Baha Mar also includes the Caribbean’s largest casino, 40 restaurants, and bars.

Sandy Lane. Barbados

Located on the west coast of Barbados, Sandy Lane is positioned within an ancient mahogany grove overlooking a gorgeous white sand beach. The celebrity-packed resort features 96 rooms and 17 suites, a stunning 5-bedroom villa, a large 47,000-square-foot spa, 45 holes of championship golf, and The Treehouse Club for kids and teens.

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, St. Lucia

This stunning property is located on 100 acres of lush rainforest on the Caribbean Sea on the site of an 18th-century sugar plantation and surrounded by the famed Pitons. With personalized butler service, the 117 suites, including 28 standalone villas, cottages, and residences, are situated across the mountainside, all with a private plunge pool. The Grand Luxury Villas are perfect for families, and the Luxury Beachfront Bungalows offer direct access to the sandy beach. There is also a super cool Rainforest Spa that boasts seven treehouse treatment rooms. One of my all-time favorite Caribbean resorts.

Goldwyn Resort and Residences

This 81-room oceanfront lifestyle resort is located on Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas. Each of their accommodations (studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom) has a kitchen or kitchenette and private balcony.

Rock House, Grace Bay, Turks & Caicos

Located on the north coast of Providenciales upon a majestic 14-acre oceanfront site with 600 feet of frontage and peaks soaring up to 95 feet above sea level. There are 46 luxurious accommodations ranging from poolside studios to spacious two-bedroom Oceanfront Homes. There is a private beachfront at the base of a 25 ft. limestone cliff, where the beach at Rock House offers a stylish beach club and its jetty for yachts.

Sandals Dunn's River

Newly renovated in 2023, Sandals Dunn’s River is located along Jamaica’s Northern Coast in the vibrant town of Ocho Rios in Saint Ann. Spacious rooms and suites offer stunning views of the beachfront location. Among the offerings are Tufa Terrace SkyPool Butler Suites, with glass panel edge infinity pools, Coyaba Sky Swim-up Rondoval Butler Suites with Private Pools, and the oval-shaped Rondoval Villa, boasts an over-sized swim-up pool and private rooftop terrace. There are 12 new culinary concepts at the resort.

Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia

Positioned at the top of a quiet hillside with panoramic marina views, this boutique resort is exclusively located on the island’s most desirable marina, Marigot Bay Yacht Haven. There are 124 suites, and situated higher up the hillside, extra spacious two- and three-bedroom Penthouse Residences that boast stunning views of the marina from their private balconies and plunge pools.
