GalwayBEO: World Travel Awards call Galway hotel 'all round excellent' as gem gets global recognition

One of the most well-known and highest-rated hotels in Co Galway has been given global recognition by a prestigious travel awards body.

The World Travel Awards nominees were announced this week many Irish hotels and restaurants up for worldwide gongs.

And this short list of the very best hospitality offered on these shores includes the 'g Hotel' which previously took home top prize in 2015.

This year marks the 30th iteration of the World Travel Awards which began in 1993 with the mission of "acknowledging, rewarding and celebrating excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries".

The awards include categories covering luxury hotels with several hotels from Ireland making the cut. And in the slightly less luxurious but no less interesting category reserved for boutique hotels, The g Hotel & Spa in Co Galway sat with Castle Leslie Estate. Dromoland Castle, Dylan Hotel in Dublin, Hayfield Manor in Co Cork, The Cashel Palace in Co Tipperary and The Clarence Hotel in Dublin on the shortlist for Ireland's Leading Boutique Hotel 2023,
