At the 29th edition of the World Travel Awards Grand Final celebrations, Seychelles won the title of the World’s Most Romantic Destination, as two of its resorts were internationally acclaimed.

Seychelles, the island republic in the western Indian Ocean consisting of close to 115 islands, succeeded yet again at the renowned World Travel Awards in Muscat, Oman.

Seychelles proudly acquired the title of the world’s most romantic destination for the third successive year in 2022. This victory was achieved after surpassing top-notch destinations such as Barbuda, Maldives, Antigua, and Bali. The island nation’s tourism principal secretary, Sherin Francis expressed her gratefulness and admiration to all the participants who equally tried their level best for the accomplishment. The same was stated in a press release for the Seychelles Tourism Board.

The world’s leading luxury private island resort 2022 was awarded to the north island

The north island was awarded the title of the world’s leading luxury private island resort 2022. The north island happens to be one of the 44 inner islands that form the Seychelles peninsula with 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean. Shaped up in 2003, the resort highlights 11 private luxury villas. The north island, popularly regarded as “The Island of Love”, has generously greeted a lot of celebrities and notable personalities to its abode.

The world’s leading private island resort title was handed over to JA Enchanted Island Resort. This is the second island, which collectively joined hands with the north island in making Seychelles win the world’s most romantic destination title this year. The JA Enchanted Island Resort has been awarded the same title for the fourth successive year. Inherited by a Seychellois family, this resort has been achieving the “Seychelle Leading Resort World Travel Award” since the year 2007.
