American Bazaar: Jamaica wins key destination honors at World Travel Awards

Jamaica has yet again received global credit at the 2021 World Travel Awards Caribbean; North America program winning five trophies as Caribbean’s Leading Cruise, Adventure Tourism and Nature Destination and as the Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board at the ceremonial in Dubai.

A victory at the yearly World Travel Awards is the vital tourism and travel trade honor. Selected by travel and tourism experts and international patrons, the awards identify each winner’s proved promise to excellence.

“We are tremendously pleased and flattered to receive these awards,” said Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett noting “five types of the significant World Travel Awards is a notable success for our gorgeous destination, particularly in light of the present weather.”

“As a destination we have been running meticulously on augmenting our offerings to appeal to heaps of tourists to our shores,” he said. “We are immensely happy that our hard work has paid off; we don’t take this win for granted.”

“On behalf of all my colleagues at Jamaica Tourist Board, I would like to thank all those authorities from the trade, and the consumer sectors who have elected and backed our triumph,” Bartlett added.

Identified as the land of wood and water, Jamaica is well-known for its exquisite beaches, quartz blue sea, tropical foliage and extraordinary people.
