22 September 2020 - The Edition

Luxury resort Baros Maldives will re-open its doors on October 1.

In reference to safety measures enacted over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Baros noted that "the past few months have shown us how fast our needs can change, assuring that the resort has adapted to the new situation to meet visitors' requirements.

"We promise that you will find space, privacy, security and comfort here at Baros Maldives and your health, well-being and peace of mind are of the utmost importance to us".

Situated roughly 25 minutes from the Velana International Airport (VIA), the 5-star hotel currently offers a total of 75 overwater and beachside garden villas, with three restaurants and bars catering to every guest on the island.

In 2018, the famed property was awarded 'World's Most Romantic Resort' by the World Travel Awards (WTA) for the fourth consecutive year. Similarly, the resort was crowned 'Indian Ocean's Most Romantic Resort' by WTA for six consecutive years.

Baros Maldives became the third resort to be established in the island nation, opening their doors to tourism in 1973.
