Applied UV, Inc. (AUVI) saw its stock price surging 7.18% on Thursday to close at $7.61 bringing its weekly performance to again of 22.94%.

Applied UV is a technology company that provides infection prevention services by applying narrow-range ultra violet light (“UVC”) power through its patented devices to safely, completely and automatically destroy pathogens.

The company’s announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary SteriLumen, Inc. in conjunction with its distribution partner for the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) has won a purchase order to provide Airocide™ Air Quality-Improvement™ System (Airocide System). The system is a line of company’s patented technology used for air purification purposes. The purchase order is for installation of Airocide System in several public space venues in Dubai, UAE at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Resort.

Sterilumen holds exclusive distribution rights to provide Airocide System line of air purification technologies in the United States and the Greater Middle East. The company serves hotel and hospitality industry in those regions by providing Airocide System. A NASA developed technology patented as Airocide Air Purifiers is used to get rid of harmful airborne minute particles like mold, viruses and bacteria. Guidance by FDA suggests that Air Purifiers and Disinfectants could minimize the viral exposure risk including that of SARS-CoV-2 as they maintain lower level aerosol concentrations.

The Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Resort includes the Dubai Creek Golf Club, a marina, a residential community, and the award-winning 5 Star Luxury Park Hyatt Hotel. The said hotel was voted “World’s Leading Corporate Resort 2019” at the World Travel Awards.

The company is in plans of starting installing the Airocide Air Purifier systems in resort’s restaurants first including some designated residential villas. The company is in initial discussions to install the Airocide™ systems in 24 residential villas; and 223 guest rooms and suites of the resort. The discussions also include installation of company’s UVC disinfecting devices in the public bathrooms of the resort.
