Global Nation: PH nominated in 2020 World Travel Awards

The Philippines has been nominated in five categories, including Asia’s leading beach and dive destinations, in the 2020 World Travel Awards (WTA Asia).Cebu was also nominated as Asia’s leading wedding destination, while Intramuros, Manila’s Walled City, was nominated Asia’s leading tourist attraction.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is also a nominee in Asia’s leading tourist board category.

The Tourism Promotions Board, DOT’s marketing arm, has called on netizens to register and cast their votes on the WTA website. The voting, which is open to tourism industry professionals and consumers, will conclude on Sept. 24.
