Travel Daily News: Athens is nominated for Europe's Best MICE destination award

Over the past years, Athens has been rising as a top destination for business travelers, association meetings and corporate events. The Greek capital ranked as the 24th top convention destination in the world for 2018 and the 16th in Europe, according to the latest International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Annual Report.

There is a number of reasons why: the city's location, connectivity, infrastructure, high-quality services, knowledge economy, vibrant lifestyle, culture, riviera, safety and weather.

Athens is nominated among 9 other European hotspots including London, Barcelona and Paris. Voting runs until the 5th February.
