The Mayor: World Travel Awards will be held in Lisbon

This year's World Travel Awards will be held on the 1st of December, next Saturday, in Lisbon. The city's historic Pátio da Galé will host the Grand Final Gala Ceremony. The awards ceremony is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary and it is going to be in Lisbon for the first time. Leading figures in the field of tourism will attend the ceremony and will award the best tourism organisations.

Lisbon is becoming more and more popular tourist destination, visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists annually. It is reaffirming itself as a world-class city, too. As Graham Cooke, Founder & President, WTA says - Lisbon "charmingly blends traditional heritage with modernism to form one of the world’s great cities".
