GB Times: Hainan Airlines among China's many winners at regional World Travel Awards

Held in the five-star InterContinental Grand Stanford Hotel in Hong Kong on September 3, the World Travel Awards Asia Gala Ceremony 2018 presented over 100 regional prizes, including the top accolade of Asia’s Leading Destination - which went to Vietnam.
Hainan Airlines collected awards for Asia's Leading Airline Brand, Asia’s Leading Airline – Business Class and Asia's Leading Cabin Crew, as well as Leading Inflight Food & Beverage. Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific was named Asia's Leading Airline.
Atlantis Sanya, which opened in the tropical island province of Hainan earlier this year, was named Asia's Leading New Resort, and the Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort, also in Hainan, was voted Asia's Leading Wedding Venue.
Chinese online travel agency Tuniu was chosen as Asia's Leading Online Travel Agency and Chongqing-based West Air was awarded Asia's Leading Most Efficient Low-Cost Airline.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. The winners are chosen via votes from "qualified executives working within travel and tourism and the consumer travel buyer".
All of the regional winners will progress to the Grand Final 2018, which is being hosted in Lisbon, Portugal on December 1.
