India bags World Travel Awards as Asia’s leading destination
World Travel Awards – 2008 “Asia and Indian Ocean” Ceremony was organized at Shanghai China on 19 June 2008. India received the award for the leading destination in Asia.
Another feather in the cap has been the “ Bronze Lion Award” at the 55th International Advertising Festival held at Cannes, France from 15- 21 June 2008 in which the creative on “ Taj Mahal “ which was used for Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India campaign in the international market. This is the first time that this prestigious award has been received by Ministry of Tourism.
