Conrad Hotels & Resorts has announced that Conrad Algarve has been awarded the 2012 ‘World’s Leading New Resort’ at the World Travel Awards Grand Final 2012 Gala Ceremony held at The Oberoi Gurgaon, New Delhi in India earlier this month.
The World Travel Awards acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Today, the WTA brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire. The annual programme is renowned as the most prestigious and comprehensive in the travel and tourism industry. Previous winners of this prestigious award include One & Only The Palm, Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay and the Venetian Macau.
This award follows Conrad Algarve also winning ‘Portugal’s Leading New Luxury Resort’ and ‘Europe’s Leading New Resort’ at the European edition of the World Travel Awards.
“After winning Portugal’s Leading New Luxury Resort’ and ‘Europe’s Leading New Resort’, this latest award will help us continue to position Conrad Algarve as an exceptional luxury destination hotel globally as well as locally”, Joachim Hartl, General Manager of Conrad Algarve said.
