Lufthansa wins business airline accolade

German carrier Lufthansa has been voted Europe’s leading business-class airline at this year’s World Travel Awards.

Marianne Sammann, Lufthansa’s general manager for the UK and Ireland, said: “This award proves investment in our new business-class product on European routes has been successful in meeting the needs of the business traveller.”

Work on installing its new business-class product on Lufthansa’s European fleet was completed last autumn.

The new centre consol, which replaces the middle seat, provides greater privacy and additional workspace.
