2nd year running for Aldemar

For the second consecutive year, Europe’s Leading Spa Resort at the World Travel Awards was won by the 5- star Aldemar Olympian Village, in Skafidia on the west Peloponnese of mainland Greece. The award-winning spa is the creation of Marianna Angelopoulou, a native Dutch married to a Greek independent hotelier and owner of the Aldemar hotel chain. Marianna was a true pioneer for thalasso when she introduced the first spa to Crete and indeed Greece, 10 years ago. Angelopoulou commented, 2nd year running for Aldemar “winning awards is always a bonus and we are all delighted to be securing this win for a second year.

“We do recognise at such times that our ‘real’ awards are the feed back we receive from our guests and the high level of repeat clientele that our properties enjoy - an indication that we are doing something right. “We are very proud to receive this World Travel Awards for Europe’s Leading Spa Resort and it represents a significant plus point for Greece too as it reflects the quality of the tourism product we have on offer
