Ministry of Turkish Tourism and Culture announced that four Turkish hotels have been awarded with coveted World Travel Awards, 2011 at a recent glittering Ceremony in Doha, Qatar. These awards positions Turkey to its rightful place in the global tourism calendar reminding visitors of the rich history, architecture and exotic beauty of the country. Over 5000 companies from 162 countries competed in over 1000 categories across five regional rounds to win the honour.

With these awards Turkey comes to the fore of leisure and spa holidays. Following Hotels did proud to the Eurasian country:

Hotel Les Ottomans, Istanbul:
Hotel Les Ottomans won the awards under the World's leading all suite & spa category . In 1790s “Les Ottomans Hotel” used to be the seaside mansion of a reputable “Hattat” known by the name Muhsinzade. The Ottoman mansion on the shore of the magnificent Bosphorus was in ruins after it was burned down in 1933. Recently, it has been rebuilt according to its original look and splendour. The vision for Hotel Les Ottomans began with Ahu Kerimoğlu Aysal in 1999, who restored the grandeur and luxury of the Ottoman mansion. She sought to create a daily retreat for visitors and locals alike who would appreciate history, tradition, and pampering in the spirit of a modern day fairytale.

Hotel Adam & Eve, Belek:
Hotel Adam & Eve won the award under the World's leading design hotel category . Adam & Eve means heaven on earth, a high class design hotel located in the Mediterranean region. The USP of the hotel are its white Colour, mirrors & glass . While white colour reflects purity of heaven on earth , mirror reminds one that one is never staying alone and glass defines wish to absorb richness of life.

Hotel Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa, Belek:
Hotel Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa won the award under the World's leading fully integrated hotel category. The 5 star Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort and Spa offers a large variety of different types of suites, villas and rooms with direct or private access to a swimming pool as well as rooms with garden terraces. The hotel has a 250 meter long private beach and a quay area. Beside that it has one main restaurant, 7 a la carte restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines, a snack restaurant and 10 bars. There are 8 pools in total which include a heated indoor pool, aqua park pool, children’s pool, heated outdoor pool and 3 Jacuzzi's. There is a wide choice of activities including fitness center, children's world, Crassula Spa and Wellness Center, billiards, bowling, Fun World, tennis courts, water sports and all day long entertainment activities.

Hotel Mardan Spa, Mardan Palace, Antalya:
Hotel Mardan Spa, Mardan Palace won the award under the World's leading hotel spa category . Drawings on the exotic therapies, treatments and philosophies from around the world , a series of specially designed “rituals” encompassing Chinese, Ayurvedic, European ,Balinese ,Oriental and Native Turkish treatments and practices are offered. The therapeutic effects of the Mediterranean seas azure waters containing high density saline can also be drawn on in the Thalasso Therapy pool.
