2000 Montego Bay
The 7th World Travel Awards Gala ceremony, held on Monday 30th October in the sumptuous setting of the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Montego Bay, saw the biggest-ever gathering of the leading lights of the world travel industry. Nominees and guests numbered over 600, and the legendary Jamaican welcome they received was just a foretaste of the fantastic evening that followed. As the great and the good gathered on the elegant terrace for the Champagne Reception, the buzz of anticipation grew perceptibly as people tried to guess who would be carrying off one of the prestigious World Travel Awards.
