Nicknamed "The Marvellous City", Rio de Janiero is famous for its spectacular natural setting, its Carnival celebrations, samba and other music as well as stunning beaches. Widely regarded as one of the most spectacular places on the planet, this incredible location which is home to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, will host this year’s South America Awards Ceremony.
The event, taking place at InterContinental Hotel Rio de Janeiro, is in partnership with ABAV 2008: the America’s largest business industry exhibition which takes place immediately after the ceremony. This annual congress for the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies gathers together more than 700 exhibitors, 40 foreign delegations and 23,000 travel professionals from across the world.
