Athens is nominated for two titles in the European region categories of the 28th World Travel Awards (WTA) 2021.
The Greek capital is competing for the title of Europe’s Leading City Break Destination and Europe’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination.
WTA has also selected the Acropolis as a candidate for the title of Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction for 2021.
In addition, the This is Athens – Convention & Visitors Bureau is among the nominee organizations for Europe’s Leading City Tourist Board 2021.
The voting procedure for Europe is open until July 14.

Referred to as the “Oscars of the tourism industry”, the World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
