Anyone over the age of 35 remembers the scene in Seinfeld when Jerry is in first class, and Elaine is stuck uncomfortably in coach. Her fellow passengers are annoying her. There’s room in the upper class cabins. She sneaks in. They’ve got cookies in there. Jerry is snuggling with a model, taking a nap. Elaine gets kicked out, causing a scene, waking up Jerry.

I flew business class to Moscow on Air France in October. It’s exactly like that scene from Seinfeld. Everyone is chatty. Everyone is happy. It’s a party!

Each year, the travel industry holds its Oscar-like event. This year, the World Travel Awards held the awards ceremony in New Delhi. There, they give out awards for a myriad of categories in the travel and tourism industry. This year, for example, Etihad Airways won leading overall airline for the fourth year in a row. And while Etihad was nominated for the best business class, that title ultimately went to someone else.

If you are ever lucky enough to fly business class, these are the airlines you want to fly it on.
