Sandals Royal Hicacos Hotel, located in this western seaside resort, won the World Travel Award for the seventh time in a row give that it is considered the best in Cuba and the Caribbean.

The award takes into account the quality of services provided, staff training, security, kindness and solidarity.

Mr. Wayne Cummings, Director, Business Processes and Administration of Sandals Resorts International, awarded the employees, who he congratulated and encouraged to keep the levels of customer satisfaction.

Since 1993, the World Travel Award has been considered the most prestigious award distinguishing companies that consolidate high quality standards, the reason why specialists deem it as the Oscars of the tourism industry.

The success of the hotel Sandals Royal Hicacos has influenced more than 50 percent of its workers, founders of the facility, with high sense of belonging.

The facility, built in 2002, has five-star category and has 404 rooms including a presidential suite and two royal suites.

Considered by The Wall Street Journal as the Oscar of tourism, the World Travel Awards honor best practices in this sector worldwide.

A group of experts from the tourism industry, dealing with customer relationships, creativity, quality of service standards, guest satisfaction and product innovation is responsible for the selection.
