South African Tourism markets South Africa's scenic beauty, diverse wildlife, kaleidoscope of cultures and heritages, the great outdoors, sport and adventure opportunities, eco-tourism and conference facilities.
This year Africa is expected to achieve a higher travel and tourism growth ratio of around 5%, rather than the global average of just over 4%. Forecasters also say that Africa could benefit from the expected increase in long haul travel up to 2020. Inevitably, the region’s first big test is about to begin as the FIFA World Cup gets under way.
South Africa will be an incredibly exciting place to be this summer and World Travel Awards are delighted to not only continue their partnership with South African Tourism but are also very much looking forward to bringing the World Travel Awards back to the region this year with the Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2010 being held in Johannesburg on 7th July.
