BBC World News

BBC World is the BBC's commercially funded, international 24-hour news and information channel, broadcast in English in more than 200 countries and territories across the globe. Its estimated weekly audience reach of 76 million makes it the BBC's biggest television service. Available in more than 274 million homes, 1.4 million hotel rooms, on 50 cruise ships, 38 airlines and 32 mobile phone platforms, BBC World broadcasts a diverse mix of authoritative international news, sport, weather, business, current affairs and documentary programming.

BBC World is at the heart of the BBC's commitment to global broadcasting. As an integral member of the BBC's Global News Division sitting alongside BBC World Service radio, BBC World delivers impartial, in-depth analysis of breaking news, as well as looking at the stories behind the news - not just what is happening, but why.

World Travel Awards are delighted to continue their successful partnership with BBC World for another year. 2008 sees WTA launch a $2 million advertising campaign on BBC World as part of their 15th Anniversary celebrations. With ads running globally from April to November, WAT and BBC World will together bring the brand further into the customer arena. As official media partner, BBC World broadcast the WTA events to over 254 million homes in over 200 countries.
