09:00 - 13:00 - Stone Town City Tour
Stone Town, also known as Mji Mkongwe, is a World Heritage Site and is the cultural heart of the island. You will start your journey exploring the cities majestic history and multiculturalism. Your first stop will be the fruit market, which opened in 1904, with its variety of tropical fruits and spices. This will be followed by visiting the Anglican Cathedral at Mkunazini, which was built in 1874 on the site of the former slave market. Your next stop will be the National Museum of Zanzibar, which is also referred to as the Peace Memorial Museum. The museum holds a wide collection of the island's natural history and artifacts. You will then take a stroll to the Forondhani Gardens, where you will see the former British Consulate, a place where explorers such as Dr. Livingston and Henry Morton Stanley came for administrative matters before explorations. You will also explore the Old Fort, which is situated a few meters away, and the tallest building in Zanzibar. Following that, and the last part of the excursion, you will be taken to visit Dr. Livingston's House.

19:00 – World Travel Awards Gala Ceremony. Beginning with a cocktail reception, the evening will include a dinner, the much anticipated unveiling of the 2016 Africa & Indian Ocean awards, entertainment and a celebratory after party.

09:00 - 13:00 - Explore the Jozani Forest
A Natural reserve and the only remaining natural forest of Unguja covering an area of 10 square km. The forest, with trees older than 100 years, is the sanctuary for the Red Collobus monkey, the small Zanzibar leopard, the bush pig … to name a few. This is an excellent adventure for nature lovers who would like to experience the thrilling fascination of walking through large pandanus and palm trees.
